Introduction: Prostate biopsy (PB) is a routine procedure performed by urologists in cases of suspected prostate cancer, any abnormality the prostate-specific antigen (PSA) assay, and/or perceived digital rectal exam. Although this safe and rapid procedure, it not without potentially serious complications, including infectious complications ranging from asymptomatic bacteriuria to acute prostatitis even septic shock. Materials methods: This work reports experience urology department Hassan II University Hospital Fez study post-biopsy through analysis retrospective series 538 during period January 2014 - December 2018. Results: We report 11 diagnosed Fez. The bacteria most frequently involved infections are gram-negative (Escherichia coli, Klebsiella pneumonia, Acinetobacter baumannii) although gram-positive cocci (Enterococcus faecalis Staphylococcus saprophyticus) can also be responsible. Anaerobic rarely found. treatment these based on prolonged antibiotic therapy (3 6 weeks) using third-generation cephalosporins (Ceftriaxone). In our series, no death, shock, or prostatic abscess was evolution towards good improvement under with discharge at home after 48 hours apyrexia. Conclusion: secondary makes possible determine appropriate empirical (therapeutic prophylactic) regimens minimize risks. Because prevalence infection multi-resistant bacteria, particularly quinolones, must following rules prophylaxis.
